Role

As a Software Developer/Engineer you will design, develop, deploy, test, debug, and maintain software bundles for systems and tools using high-level programming languages. You will be working as part of a dynamic and diverse team on a project or several projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
  • Assess and prioritise feature requests
  • Design systems components meeting business and technical specifications
  • Develop and write effective, scalable software code for systems’ components in Python
  • Develop components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
  • Integrate user-interface elements into applications services and storage components
  • Test and debug software issues and finding root causes of faults and errors
  • Improve functionality of existing systems
  • Implement security and data protection solutions
  • Develop supporting CI infrastructure using technologies such as Jenkins and Docker
  • Being involved in scrum/agile development processes
  • Write up and review design documentation and other associated technical documentations including development guides, release notes, etc

Requirements and skills

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • 2+ years’ experience as Python developer/engineer
  • Familiarity and experience with one or more of the following:
  • a) CI/CD technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
  • b) Integration with relational and non-relational databases, and user interfaces
  • c) Data acquisition and processing techniques
  • d) Cloud-based infrastructure deployment
  • e) Containerisation deployment
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Creative, persuasive and team player

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
